When days grow short and nights get cold
And autumn trees turn red and gold,
Move, we may, through sun drenched days
‘Midst leaves and berries and bales of hay.

In our hearts we feel the lure
Toward darkness, shivers, and things not pure,
While ghostly shadows creep slowly by,
Spying on witches and brooms that fly.

Icy fingers that grab their prey
And do bad things ’til night turns to day.
Heed this plea to stay inside.
Find covers and blankets and sheets to hide.

Slowly this night will fade to day
And fiends and monsters will crawl away.
Once a year, on this dank night,
We’ll shake and shiver ’til morning light.

Special Thanks to the Little Family for giving us this wonderful opportunity to give them a Halloween Party they will long remember . . . . . . Merci!

THEIR LOVE STORY

” Over the winter holidays, Rob and I went on a gorgeous vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with his eldest brother Brian, his wife Gail and their kids Sydney and Jon. On 12/26/14 Rob asked if I wanted to wake up early the next morning and watch the sunrise. I wasn’t terribly keen on an early wake up call but I was delighted to soak up a little romance with my love – of course I agreed!  Little did I know what big plans he had in store for us that morning. We strolled along the very desolate beach looking for the perfect place to watch. We walked out onto a tiny peninsula that jetted out into the ocean and sat cuddling with our feet dangling over the rocks. We had a lovely conversation filled with lots of laughs as we checked our iphone apps to see what time the rays were supposed to greet us. The sun had other plans as we watched ominous grey clouds roll in. All I remember is jumping up to suggest we get some breakfast in effort to miss the rain.  I turned around and before I could even process what was happening, Rob was down on one knee. I’ll let him tell the rest…. ‘At sunrise, this morning (12/27/14) at 7:29, on the beginning of a new day, I asked Morgan for a new beginning…. she said YES!!’.  Everyday I look at my beautiful ring and think about how lucky I am that I have Rob, my Beshert (Jewish notion of a soul mate).  We are forever grateful that we both moved 2,000 miles West to find our forever Chicago match. ” — Morgan Tobor Kayman

I first met the “DIVA” 12 years ago when she was only 10 weeks old from a Shiba-Inu Breeder I had met through a mutual friend.  She was still nursing with her Mother and couldn’t pick her up until her 10th week.  I visited her Mother who was feeding a litter of 7 Shiba pups.  As soon as I arrived, Mother and puppies  all scattered about the room and hid . . . except for BELLA.  She came running towards me, grabbing my ankle and leg, frantically jumping and begging to be carried.   As soon as i picked her up, I knew she was the one.  You know it’s true when they say that you don’t choose your dogs . . . your dogs choose YOU!  At that time, the Breeder named her LEXI.  I said, “Oh hell no – you don’t look like a Lexi.  You’re definitely DIVA in every word – I will call you BELLA!” (which of course means “beautiful” in Italian).

With black button nose, little pricked ears and a curly tail, BELLA knows she is superior.  Whether with intrepid boldness, squinty-eyed cuteness or regal calm dignity, she is QUEEN!  She is aloof, alert, confident and courageous with a spirited boldness, good nature, and an unaffected forthrightness, which together yield dignity and natural beauty.  She has an independent nature, stubborn and willful, and is loyal and affectionate to those who earn her respect.  In a lot of ways, she and I share the same characteristics, which is why we are such a good match.  And if she could utter one word, it would probably be “MINE”.  She always regards herself as stronger-minded, and can become stubborn at times as she believes she needs to make up her own rules.  She’s a “stud muffin” with a butch attitude.

Owning a Shiba-Inu needs a lot of time and attention, but they repay the effort 10 times over in loyalty and affection.  And for me, it’s a way of life.  She is, after all, Daddy’s girl . . . my girl!

HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY, BELLA-GIRL!!!!!

MARY MELOT AND ROBBIN BEEBE

Congratulations to Robbin & Mary who tied the knot last July 7th at their beautifully renovated home in Alamo.

They celebrated their nuptials in what couldn’t have been a more perfect sunny day, continued with a spectacular array of gastronomies and delectables, as they danced the night away in a cool evening under the stars.

This amazing couple are true to themselves and to their love.   They are so sweet together, unmatched and they speak love to each other without saying anything.  I absolutely love how they love.  The kind of people who hugs everyone repeatedly.  And like them, their Friends and Families were just as charming, beautiful and gracious.

Humble, heartwarming, enthusiastic, fun and love – these were all the key elements that will make a loving marriage.  And for Robbin and Mary, they embody all of them.  It was a memorable evening of romance, magic and love . . . lots of it!  Flawless and fabulous, just like them!

Special Kudos to my terrific team of “Wedding Dreammakers” – you are all masters of your craft!  And to our incredibly talented Photographer, Vicens Forns . . . you do stellar work, and have a keen eye for creative art.  Don’t every stop being your bad-ass self!!

JENNY HUANG & WILLY NG

Renowned Restaurateur, Willy Ng, tied the knot with his long-time Bride, Jenny Huang at the majestic Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco.  For both Jenny and Willy, their Wedding Day couldn’t come any sooner, as they celebrated their nuptials with their adorable son, Jayden and many of their closest Friends and Families who traveled far and wide, mostly from Asia and worldwide.  They pulled out all the stops to make sure that their Wedding vision became a reality and it certainly proved to be just that – a magical affair.

Willy & Jenny are proprietors of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most elite Chinese Restaurants such as M.Y. China, Koi Palace and Dragon Beau, just to name a few.  So you know that their Wedding Day’s dining experience was going to be nothing less than fabulous.  Special kudos goes out to David Robinson, Director of Catering for the Four Seasons San Francisco, and his amazing team of hotel professionals who executed their flawless Wedding with such great élan.  The cuisine provided by their talented Culinary Team excelled far beyond their expectations, and even to those with the most distinguished palettes such as Willy’s and Jenny’s.

My heartfelt thanks to my incredibly talented team of Wedding Vendors who helped me create this fantastic Wedding they will long remember.  My hats off to all of you!
